Sketchup doesn't natively export to the correct format but the plugin for it seems to work 100%

I'm immediately moving over to TinkerCAD for 3D printing designs because Sketchup is a wanker about internal geometry and if all your shapes aren't solid your printer literally has a fit! Sketchup is great for the sorts of things you use it for, agree it's a shame TinkerCAD doesn't have an installer :(

Looking forward to trying the shaders out as long as it's either preconfigured to look awesome or easy to tweak the settings. I remember last time I tried it there were hundreds of settings and after restarting the game 50 times to compare I just decided that it maybe looking 5% better in some areas wasn't worth all the hassle.

It's moved on. It's pre configured and comparing is a case of pressing scroll lock to toggle it on and off.I will not play CiV or Witcher 3 without it now because it looks like washed sick.

First things, review 2 attachments to this post, check those out, it should be obvious but check :
1) Colour Depth (Blueness of ocean on right)
2) Texture sharpness on plains and desert tiles.
3) Jungle area at bottom of shot sharper.
4) Caravan in bottom centre of image shows sharpness again.

If still interested then continue to instructions! Takes 5 minutes tops.

Instructions

Note the instruction "Move ReShade-folder and ReShade32.dll to Civilization V root folder. - Rename ReShade32.dll to d3d9.dll or dxgi.dll. (DX9=d3d9.dll or DX11=dxgi.dll)" is not required with the latest reshade since you pick it when you run the installer.

You know it has worked when you get a gray bar at the top of the screen during the boot of your game.

Looks cool, might give it a go. You can see the detail improvements.... I think I can see the individual toes of the peasant workers there in the bottom screenshot compared with the mushy top one. The fields and roads as well look tons better and look at the desert hills near the copper on the right there, much better.

Online tonight, up for continuing our Civ slog or something else.

Looks nice, definitely going to try this out.

More Civ sounds fun, maybe mix in some AS if adrenaline levels drop too low?

Good one last night, shame the AI were so crappy. Now we've warmed up a bit we should consider a free for all perhaps. Obviously we'll not be dicks to each other but the AI should pose a bit more of a threat!

Agreed - It was a quiet one for us in the end up on that top island, once the barbs were all dead. I enjoyed Venice and the uniqueness of being able to just buy city states as well, and generating lots of cash. There seemed to be plenty going on for Nuts and Chains especially, shame we couldn't help more... not that you needed it.

I'd say we're ready for a real game, but yes not be total dicks to each other as the game would end quite quickly I suspect :P

Yeah, it was fun at first but when the AI all just rolled their bellies over and gave up it got a bit boring. They were definitely broken, I could have taken them even without my special units - I didn't lose a single unit except the one that got trapped exploring early game and couldn't attack!

I'm up for a free for all and I'm happy not to pussy foot around if everyone else is. I don't know about you guys but I have loads of single player games I can jump on if I get knocked out or crippled so I'm happy to just play however the game goes. Agree about not being dicks, I won't be gunning for anyone or seeking to wipe you out if you beat me to some ruins but I'm not going to shy away from a skirmish if one of you settles where I wanted to or we're running out of space etc. I think it would make for a more interesting game rather than trying to be super nice to everyone else and then ganging up on the first guy to declare war on someone like we usually do :D

Anyway, we might as well get this it's free for a short time and is multi-player.

Scan have advised at least another 2 weeks before my cards back.

For free, its a very good game. Problem was once we'd 'tower defenced' our entrances I don't think we really knew how to break each others defence... I'd have another game though definitely.

Civ sounds alright to me, especially if Mach is on to Austrailia... I can hear it already....

"Yes yes, in Dephi 5 I am able to produce granaries and monuments type classes by turn 11 if then else work all production tiles around your main city = true"

Will be around from about 8pm though.

Finishing the game sounds good to me, I'll probably be on for my later start though and since you'll have to listen to me cry if you let the ai take my turns you'll probably want to find something else to play for 90 mins or so!
